Miss Christine
Dance Teacher
Christine Allen-Carlson is a trained dancer and educator well versed in
ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, creative movement and modern dance for over 25 years.
She was the co-founder and artistic director of a non-profit arts organization for
18 of those years. Her training experience includes Ballet Americana, Wayne
State University under dance scholarship, and Brain-Compatible Dance Education
in Seattle. Christine has performed professionally and regularly participates in
adult ballet and tap classes. She continues to keep up on training in best teaching
methods and is certified in Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT). She is also a
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant and is committed to providing
opportunities for accessible dance exploration and excellence while promoting
healthy bodies, minds and spirits. Christine is excited to join the MDC dance
community and looks forward to imparting her passion for dance- not only to
develop technical dancers, but also foster confident, critical thinkers and creative,
joyful movers.
